Happy Sunday, Lisa! There’s no two ways of looking at the sky here today… not a cloud in sight. Now, see I would say this photo was “sky half cloudy”. Interesting… I bet you get a lot fewer clear days where you are though. Perhaps that’s what you look forward to? I’m always wishing for clouds. Despite our different answers, I think we both tend towards focusing on the positive. 🙂 Ha Ha! I was deviously hoping to plant the seeds of that Joni Mitchell song in someone’s head! She is an icon worthy of her status and her lyrics are a joy. Her music running through more people’s heads would be a definite good thing. xo
my brain must be wired differently as I don’t view this as either/or.. I welcome clouds as much as I welcome the clear skies and when they’re combined, then that makes it all the more beautiful.
Happy Sunday to you too, Cindy! Point well taken… This need not necessarily be an either/or situation. I do have a (not great) tendency to try to make everything either black or white — foolish to do so when there’s so much grey, eh? 🙂 Now that I think about, I think that my ideal is definitely somewhere in the middle. Without the blue sky some of the time, how would I appreciate the clouds?
My vote is for half cloudy or full cloudy, clouds do not get in my way. I really don’t know clouds at all or as well as I’d like anyway. My bff admitted to not liking Joni Mitchell WHAT? It’s a real friend that can excuse her faults, I’ll still water her garden while she’s on vacation. Hope you had a good day despite the sun. xoxo
Hullo Ro! Ha HA HAA! Your comments made me laugh. Though she ranks high on my list of favorite artists, that particular song of hers never really did it for me, mostly because of the lyrics in that first verse. I can’t relate to clouds getting in the way and I’ve never really seen the downside to clouds blocking the sun, much less raining and snowing on everyone. But, hey, maybe that’s just a function of having always lived in this arid climate. I could definitely understand and forgive not liking SOME of Joni’s work… she’s dabbled in a lot of different stuff over the years. But to not like her at all… hmmmm… your bff must be a special lady for you to get past that. (I’m just kidding, of course. Though I do find it hard to comprehend not being impressed by some aspect of either her voice, her musicianship, her melodies or her lyrics. In my opinion, that woman has always oozed talent.) We spent the day driving around and taking care of errands — as good a way as any to make use of an uncomfortably hot day. xo
Sky half clear, baby! Yeee-haww!!
Okay, am back. Now I have the Joni Mitchell song stuck in my head (because of your blog title!!)
